IT INFRASTRUCTURE AUDIT

Know exactly where you stand.

A thorough, independent review of your IT environment. We assess your infrastructure, security posture, backup strategy, licensing compliance, and cloud readiness — then give you a clear, prioritised action plan.

Most businesses we work with have grown their IT organically. A server added here, a cloud subscription there, a backup solution that made sense three years ago. Over time, gaps appear. Licences lapse. Security policies go unreviewed. Nobody is quite sure what is covered and what is not.

An IT audit gives you the full picture. We document what you have, assess how well it is working, identify risks, and recommend what to fix first. No jargon, no scare tactics — just a clear report you can act on.

  • Full inventory of hardware, software, and cloud services
  • Network health and performance assessment
  • Security posture review against Cyber Essentials
  • Backup and disaster recovery validation
  • Software licensing compliance check
  • Cloud readiness and migration assessment

Frequently Asked Questions About IT Audits.

What is an IT audit?

An independent review of your IT infrastructure, security, backups, licensing, and processes. We document what you have, assess how well it is working, and give you a prioritised action plan to fix what matters most.

How long does an IT audit take?

Most audits take two to five days depending on the size of your environment. We work around your schedule and minimise disruption to your team. You will have a full written report within 72 hours of the audit completing.

Do you need to come on-site?

For a thorough audit, we prefer at least one on-site visit to inspect physical infrastructure and network cabling. Much of the work — cloud services, licensing, security configuration — can be done remotely. We will agree the split with you upfront.

How much does an IT audit cost?

It depends on the size and complexity of your environment. We offer free initial consultations to scope the work. Contact us and we will send you a quote based on your setup.

Will you try to sell us managed services afterwards?

The audit report is yours regardless. We will make recommendations — some you can do yourself, some you might want help with. There is no obligation to use SystemLabs for any follow-up work. Many of our managed service clients started with an audit, but that is their choice, not a condition.

Can you audit cloud-only environments?

Yes. Whether you are fully on-premises, fully cloud, or hybrid, we audit the whole environment. Cloud audits cover M365 configuration, Azure/AWS security, identity management, and licensing.
